A long-awaited reunion

Michael Keaton and Morgan Freeman, who first shared the screen in the 1988 drama Clean and Sober, will reunite nearly forty years later. In that earlier film Keaton played Daryl Poynter, a real estate agent battling addiction, while Freeman was Craig, the counselor who helps him confront his problems.

Rode to Ruin: the setup

The pair will headline Rode to Ruin, a Western thriller Keaton will also direct. Keaton, 74, will portray retired Marshal Henry Tillman; Freeman, 89, will play wanted outlaw Joseph Mulberry. The story follows Tillman’s 40-year search for the person who killed his wife, which brings him to Mulberry, an aging outlaw coping with memory loss, and to a hidden truth that challenges them both, according to the press materials.
