From Nottingham Cottage to Frogmore

Meghan previously moved into Nottingham Cottage after their engagement. The couple later lived at Frogmore Cottage, a wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth in 2018 that they renovated before Archie’s birth. They used Frogmore during major 2022 visits, but were asked to vacate in March 2023 and officially left the property in June 2023; reports have discussed undoing about $3 million in renovations.

Business and boundaries

Their Montecito estate, bought in 2020 and home to celebrity neighbors, influenced Meghan’s projects and branding. PEOPLE says Meghan will continue to lead her As Ever brand from the couple’s international bases.

Royal status unchanged

Despite returning to the U.K., Harry and Meghan will remain private individuals and non-working royals, with King Charles said to have confirmed there will be no change to their status from the 2020 arrangements.
