Parton has missed recent events, including the Aug. 14 opening of Dollywood’s NightFlight Expedition, after reporting some health setbacks that cause dizziness and dehydration. In her message she said her Nashville doctor advised against travel and reassured fans that medical care is going well. She has also previously discussed kidney stone issues and paused a planned Las Vegas residency in May.
The 19th ACM Honors at The Pinnacle, hosted by Carly Pearce and Parker McCollum, also recognized artists and industry figures including Bill Anderson, Eric Church, Kacey Musgraves and others. Parton is continuing work on projects like the SongTeller Hotel, the Life of Many Colors Museum and the upcoming Broadway show Dolly: A True Original Musical.
