A director's revelation

Nahmias spent a season with Olive (12), Nikki (9), Shannon Elizabeth (8) and Ara (5) while raising a daughter their age, and says the film showed it’s possible to take girls seriously while still letting them be children. She worried less about the cookies themselves and more about the girls’ inner lives, urging adults to listen when young people ask questions like "How much is enough?" and "What is fair?"
