Director Alysa Nahmias told PEOPLE that Meghan’s own Girl Scout past — with her mother as a troop leader — gave her an immediate connection to the film. Meghan grew up participating in the same Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles council as one of the girls, which deepened her involvement beyond an executive title.
The documentary follows four girls — Olive (12), Nikki (9), Shannon Elizabeth (8) and Ara (5) — through the highs and pressures of cookie season. Meghan and Prince Harry joined the project as executive producers via Archewell Productions. The girls described surreal, emotional encounters: Nikki was stunned and later hugged Meghan, Olive said meeting them felt like a full-circle moment after watching the couple’s Netflix series, and Shannon recalled being very excited.
