Vance, 41, appeared to promote Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith and tackled politics live. He defended President Trump’s handling of the Epstein files and the economy, admitted he was "a bit of a Jeffrey Epstein conspiracy theorist," and argued affordability is a problem: "gas is way too high right now...rents have been either flat or down for 12 months now." He added, "My view – I’m sure you guys don’t agree with it – is that we inherited a mess and we’re fixing it. But sometimes it takes a long time to fix a mess."

FCC Fight and The View's Response

Trump-appointed FCC Chair Brendan Carr launched an inquiry into whether The View must follow an "equal time" rule for political content. Disney pushed back, filing a discharge petition saying the show operates under a bona fide news exemption granted more than 20 years ago and argued the modern media landscape makes the doctrine outdated. The View even ran a TV spot urging viewers to tell the FCC to "let the viewers decide" ahead of a July 6 deadline.
