The King and Queen signed a program message welcoming international competitors from Europe, North America and Australasia and praising venue upgrades: a refurbished Weighing Room and Changing Facilities plus 1,200 solar panels on the Grandstand roof, noted as part of Ascot’s sustainability efforts. They closed their note with their regnal signatures, "Charles R" and "Camilla R."
Royal Ascot runs June 16–20 and draws around 300,000 visitors. The event traces royal ties back to Queen Anne in 1711 and became a Royal Week in 1911. King Charles, who has attended since his 2023 accession and inherited Queen Elizabeth’s racehorses after her death in 2022, knows well the thrill of a win at Ascot.
