The initial reports confirmed the deaths of two men and one woman, aged 35 and 55 respectively, with a later report indicating that a second woman was revived and transported to the hospital, but ultimately succumbed to her injuries. As of now, the nationality of the victims, including whether any were German, remains unclear. Search efforts for the missing individual continued into the evening but did not yield any results.

Guided by rescue services, police, and firefighters, authorities emphasized the dangers posed by the high waves, a warning that had already been issued prior to the incident. Some witnesses reported that a few individuals managed to escape the water on their own. News outlets noted that the treacherous conditions at these natural pools, once considered a hidden gem by vacationers, can quickly turn into perilous traps. Just days earlier, on November 8, Tenerife had experienced a similar scene, where multiple individuals were also swept into the ocean, resulting in three fatalities and numerous injuries.
