The beautiful Canary Island of Tenerife has been rocked by a devastating tragedy. A powerful wave struck near Los Gigantes, sweeping four individuals into the ocean, resulting in their untimely deaths. Another person remains unaccounted for.

The harrowing incident took place around 4 PM at one of the popular natural pools in Los Gigantes, situated in the municipality of Santiago del Teide. At the time, many visitors were enjoying the rocky shoreline and shallow waters when an enormous wave surged toward them, catching everyone off guard and dragging them into the depths.

According to reports from emergency services, several individuals were pulled away by the raging waters, including tourists from abroad, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the sea. A rescue helicopter was able to recover one person alive and sadly retrieved another deceased from the water.
