Pratt has been polling close to incumbent Karen Bass ahead of the June 2 primary. He has held high-profile fundraisers — including one hosted by David Foster and Katharine McPhee — and received a maximum contribution from Jeannie Buss. Supporters named in reports include Paris Hilton, Adam Carolla, James Woods, Dennis Quaid, Amber Rose, Nick Viall, Brody Jenner and Joe Rogan. Maher praised Pratt's authenticity but did not endorse him.

The top two finishers in the primary will advance to November, and Pratt says he's just getting started.
