Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul received a trailer on May 20 and promises never-before-seen interviews and rare performance footage. Directed by James Keach, the film was announced in February and will premiere in New York City on June 9 before opening widely on June 17.
Archival footage shows Allman saying he was 'mad at him for dying' and 'mad at life,' and in later comments he admitted being 'angry at God for taking' Duane, who died in a 1971 motorcycle accident at 24. The topic of Duane's loss recurs throughout the film.
