During the November 2017 Asian tour Melania quieted her trademark stilettos and chose $527 nude Ballalla Nappa Shiny flats by Christian Louboutin to tackle the Great Wall's steep steps. She paired them with a black turtleneck, a high-waisted cream wool midi skirt, a blush-pink leather belt and a structured black coat draped over her shoulders, later exclaiming 'This is beautiful. This is amazing.'

From Wall to Zoo

The same comfortable shoes reappeared at the Beijing Zoo, where Melania fed giant panda Gu Gu and handed out stuffed bald eagle toys to schoolchildren waving American and Chinese flags. Her husband had already departed for Vietnam that day.
