Andrew Lownie's updated book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, due May 21, recounts an incident in which Prince Andrew allegedly kicked his Labrador after it snatched a guest's sausage roll during a pheasant shoot at Sandringham, leaving the dog whimpering, Hello! reports.
According to Lownie, the guest called the behaviour 'disgusting' and several onlookers signalled agreement. The author writes that Andrew replied with an expletive and insisted it was his right to do 'precisely what I want to my dogs.' Later, Prince Philip is said to have told the guest that he and the Queen agreed the rebuke was justified.
