Laura Dern has been tapped to replace Bonham Carter, but she will portray a new character developed specifically for her rather than taking over the original part.

Season details

Filming began April 15 across France — Cannes, Monaco and Paris — with key locations including Château de la Messardière and the Hôtel Martinez (renamed for the show). This season follows rival film teams at the Cannes Film Festival and stars Alexander Ludwig, AJ Michalka, Steve Coogan, Caleb Jonte Edwards, Sandra Bernhard, Heather Graham, Charlie Hall, Chris Messina, Max Greenfield and Kumail Nanjiani.
