Some allegations were dismissed at earlier stages, but motions to dismiss were denied for other parts of the cases. Lizzo appealed a 2024 ruling allowing the dancers’ suit to proceed, filing the appeal in June 2025 and arguing First Amendment concerns. In December a judge dismissed fat-shaming claims and the accusers later dropped an appeal. Meanwhile, Lizzo released a new single earlier this month and has an album due June 5.
