Catherine trained in observation under her father and became a private investigator. In 2008 she filed for conservatorship, alleging Shera blocked visits after Peter’s hip surgery and saying he suffered from Alzheimer’s and dementia. After a legal battle and limited contact, Catherine said she learned of his 2011 death from news reports and was not allowed at his funeral. She later launched The Catherine Falk Organization and lobbied for “Peter Falk’s Law” to protect family visitation rights.
Jacqueline largely stayed out of the spotlight. She died on April 27, 2026, at age 60; the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner ruled her death a suicide.
