Arrival and White House Welcome

King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived at Joint Base Andrews on April 27, 2026, and were escorted to the White House where President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump greeted them on the South Portico. The royal couple joined the Trumps for a private tea and toured the first lady's beekeeping program.

Garden Party and Notable Guests

The pair then attended a large garden party at the British embassy, with guests from both nations including Olympian Tom Daley, administration figures Stephen Miller and Scott Bessent, and public figures such as Nancy Pelosi and CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.

Historic Capitol Address and State Dinner

The visit continues with a meeting between King Charles and President Trump, and the King is set to address a joint meeting of Congress — only the second British monarch to do so since Queen Elizabeth in 1991 — followed by a state dinner at the White House.
