Open about sobriety and family

MGK has been public about getting sober: on Bunnie Xo's Dumb Blonde podcast in August 2024 he said he was "completely sober from everything," "I don't drink anymore. I haven't drank since last August," and that rehab was a first for him. Speaking with PEOPLE he described changing his outlook, noting, "I have a daughter who I love with all of my heart" and that he's no longer "in a haze." He is dad to Casie, 16, and Saga, 13 months, whom he shares with ex Megan Fox.

Back in Australia with new music

MGK posted an April 16 Instagram carousel from Australia featuring a koala, a tattoo honoring his late friend Dingo, and stage moments. He released the single "Fix Ur Face" on April 21 and wrote that he "won't wait 8 years to come back again."
