Less than five months after losing his last professional match to Gunther at Capital One Arena on Dec. 13, 2025, Cena returned to WWE in a new role. The 48-year-old, a 17-time world champion and one of the most decorated figures in WWE history, shared an emotional farewell with fans after that final match, bowing and saluting as the crowd chanted.
Outside wrestling, Cena has built a steady entertainment career with films like Fast X, Argylle and The Suicide Squad and TV projects including reality appearances and the Peacemaker series. He has often credited WWE with shaping his life and says he always aims to give his all to the audience.
