Shawn Monper, 33, admitted guilt to two counts alleging threats to assault and murder U.S. officials, the Department of Justice said. The filings say the threats were intended to impede and retaliate against officials while they performed duties.
Authorities tied Monper to a YouTube account called "Mr Satan" and cited a series of posts from early 2025. Prosecutors allege he wrote messages urging violence against public figures, referenced buying firearms and body armor, and made explicit statements about killing the president.
