Høiby already faces 38 counts, including rape, intimate partner abuse, assault, property damage and breaches of visitation and contact bans. His trial opens February 3 at the Oslo District Court and is scheduled to last seven weeks. Høiby denies the allegations against him.
The allegations reach back to 2024 and the indictment was filed in the summer of 2025. Reports say his grandmother covered legal costs of €116,000. The new developments cast renewed scrutiny on Crown Princess Mette-Marit and the family.
