"My muscles ached, my body protested a lot," she shares. Still, she kept going.
After a few months, walking became a regular part of her life. And, surprisingly enough, something unexpected happened:
"I started to feel good in my body. I actually gained more energy by exhausting myself."
Without making significant changes to her diet, the kilos kept falling off. In total, Toogi lost 20 kilograms.
"Through walking, I realized: my body is not broken."
Today, Toogi no longer walks 20,000 steps a day, but around 15,000. Losing more weight is no longer her goal. However, she wants to inspire others.
She started a (virtual) walking club where she motivates people to walk between 10,000 and 20,000 steps daily. Her message is simple: exercise doesn't have to be extreme to change your life.
