Just before the scheduled trial, Marius Borg Høiby is once again at the center of attention. Investigators strike, securing evidence - and suddenly, there is more at stake than the previous allegations. The timing causes unrest, not only among the authorities.
As Norwegian media report, the police searched the new apartment of Marius Borg Høiby in the affluent Frogner district of Oslo. The measure took place just before Christmas 2025 and was aimed at securing evidence in connection with new investigations that are not yet part of the indictment.
What's particularly explosive: at least one of the offenses under investigation is classified as serious by the authorities. For a court-approved apartment search, there must be a high probability of a committed crime. The specific allegations being investigated are not yet publicly known.
Regardless, the 28-year-old will have to face court at the beginning of February. The existing charges include 32 points, including allegations of sexualized violence, assault, threats, and property damage. If convicted, several years in prison could be the outcome.
The new suspicions are not yet part of the upcoming trial. According to the prosecution, additional charges could follow - but only if there is compelling evidence. This could still take time during an ongoing trial.
