After years of speculation, Prince Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy and his wife Clotilde Courau have now officially confirmed their separation. Four years after the couple went their separate ways, the Italian nobleman spoke openly about the end of their marriage in an interview with "Corriere Della Sera". "We have been separated for four years," he explains.
The couple married on September 25, 2003 in Rome and together had two daughters: Vittoria (December 28, 2003) and Luisa (August 16, 2006). For a long time, they were considered a glamorous royal couple between Italy and France. However, the geographical distance and professional ambitions increasingly strained the relationship. While Clotilde stayed in Paris, Emanuele Filiberto commuted for his food truck business "The Prince of Venice" between Italy and Los Angeles. Joint appearances became rarer, rumors of a crisis louder. The couple was last seen together at the funeral of Filiberto's father Vittorio Emanuele on February 10, 2024.
