A verbal sparring match between US President Donald Trump and former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has sparked a sharp reaction from the White House. Prompted by the rhetoric from Moscow, Trump felt compelled to issue a stern warning to the Kremlin.
Trump Warns of Dangerous Consequences
Trump announced the deployment of two nuclear submarines within striking distance of Russia should the aggressive rhetoric of his Russian counterpart continue to escalate. The warning was posted by Trump on his Truth Social platform - however, the exact positioning of the submarines remains unclear. "Words are very important and can often lead to unintended consequences. I hope this will not be one of those cases," Trump wrote in his message.
